Tricia Casamassima-Wood

Dance Department Leader

Tricia has been teaching in the Dallas area for over 17 years. She is very well
known for her technical coaching, sincere personality, and positive teaching style.
Her passion for training, coaching, and mentoring both children and teens has
earned her an outstanding reputation among fellow dance educators as
well as the families in the Dallas and Frisco area.

Tricia began her training in San Diego under the direction of Georgia Copeland,
Sue Gilson, and Currie Pederson. Intensively studying ballet, jazz, lyrical, musical
theater, tap, and acrobatics. She has studied with numerous master teachers
throughout the country and still travels every year to NYC and California to study
with the best in the industry. Her world class training has opened many doors and
brought her many opportunities winning numerous awards, titles as well as scholarships to the Joffrey ballet in NYC as wells as the Gus Giordano Jazz studio
in Chicago.

Beginning at the age of 12 years old and throughout her high school years, she has had
the privilege to perform in numerous dance productions, musicals and revues for
Palomar College in San Diego under the direction of Tom Hansen and Sue Gilson.
Tricia worked for Royal Caribbean Cruise lines as a dancer for 2 1⁄2 years as well as
traveled with various production companies performing all of the country. Tricia
has taught master classes for Stephen F. Austin University and Sam Houston
University as well as given master technique classes to numerous dance studios
outside the DFW area. She has won numerous awards for her choreography and
her teams over the years have won many First Overall Title’s at both Regional and
National Competitions. She is a judge for Mark of Excellence National Talent.
Tricia lives in Frisco with her daughter GiGi.
